Whether you’re after a quick weekday coffee and eggs or a long, lazy weekend brunch, these are Altrincham’s go-to spots for breakfast and brunch that I love and keep going back to.
Head into Altrincham town and head to one of these cafes and restaurants for a brilliant brunch date, solo or with friends. Do note the opening days and hours as many of these are closed on Mondays. I have also noted my favourite places for a quick, light bite breakfast in Altrincham below if you are happy with a flaky pasty and coffee for breakfast.
Where to Go for Breakfast in Altrincham

If you’re not from the area, you can easily spend a full day in Altrincham, after breakfast you can go shopping, go ice skating, or go to one to one of the many nearby National Trust sites. Have a read of my post things to do in Altrincham to help you plan your full day!
1. Altrincham Market
I often forget about Altrincham Market when thinking where to get brunch in Altrincham so it’s going top of this list because its an easy spot to meet with plenty of seating, a great spot to visit as a group because everyone can order something different, and if you have kids, there is a small play area inside to help keep them entertained.
Closed on Mondays, this is one of the top places to get breakfast in Altrincham as you can choose from brunch menus:
- Pico’s – Offerring a Spanish twist on breakfast. The Breakfast Burrito is so good!
- Rubens – For a Middle Eastern twist on breakfast. I can vouch for their mushrooms on toast.
- Tender Cow – If a big fry up is your craving, they have you covered!

3. à bloc
à bloc is not right in Altrincham town centre but its just a few minutes walk away and is my favourite neighbourhood cafe for brunch, or a take-out coffee and doughnut to take around Stamford Park whilst I take my toddler to the play area. The cafe is small inside but it feels homely and warm and has some lovely outside seating for the warmer months.
They have a varied brunch menu with lots on offer from a full English ‘bloc’ breakfast to a range of avocado and eggs on toast, french toast, porridge bowls and so much more. Their Colombian breakfast is a highlight if you want something a bit different for brunch!
And they are open on Mondays which is a huge plus, so if you want brunch in Altrincham on a Monday.. you know where to go!

13. So Marrakesh
I love So Marrakesh located opposite Altrincham Market. They serve a variety of drinks including Moroccan Mint Tea and Pistachio Latte. They have all their food out on display as you walk in and there are a lot of options but it is more of a deli style than a full on brunch menu, hence it being in this part of my list of where to find brunch in Altrincham.
